Karthick Gnashegaran 2023 Hackathon Winner

" #PLIBlockathon22 was an outstanding event designed to identify and encourage young blockchain enthusiasts. It began with over 1000 entries, narrowed down to 35 teams and 110 participants for the finale. The 36-hour coding event featured keynote speeches from blockchain influencers and technical support from the Plugin team. All 35 teams presented their ideas to the Jury, and the top 10 were rewarded. It was one of my best hackathon experiences, thanks to Vinod Khurana, Kapil Khurana, Ritesh Kakkad, and Atul Khekade. Our project, XDC Eco Drive, aimed to reduce carbon emissions by rewarding drivers with XDC tokens for eco-friendly driving, evolving into a complete car ecosystem with B2B and B2C business models. Thanks to my team members Manish Chandrashekar and Karthikeya Kotegar for their contributions and insights. Winning the first prize led to a job offer from Plugin as a Blockchain Specialist in Dubai, UAE. This opportunity allowed me to develop my idea into a full project and work on other innovative Web3 projects. Over the past year, Plugin has provided me with exciting opportunities to explore blockchain, lead and attend meetups, and advance in my career. "Learning is a continuous journey, not a destination. " I consider the PLI Blockathon one of the standout moments in my life. It provided me with the opportunity to meet and discuss my ideas with influential blockchain experts in person.
